Coming to Oxfordshire on 26th April is the bus-based Ale Festival – where you hop on and hop off a bus to discover Oxfordshire rural pubs and ales, without worrying about who is doing the driving!
It’s the best way to visit pubs you’ve never managed to get to and a great day out for groups of buddies, or for anyone wanting an excuse to go out for a get-together.
Buses arrive from 11am to 9pm on a circuit and take you to off-the-beaten-track pubs known for their hostility, support of local breweries and which can of course provide with a great day out.
The buses will run a circular route every 45 minutes. You get on and off at the pubs that take your fancy.
The Festival bus is heading to places like Begbroke, Woodstock, Stonesfield, Ramsden, Witney/Hailey Thrupp and we also pick up at Oxford Parkway Station.
To get the bus you purchase tickets online (not on the bus). Tickets give you all-day travel. You can start at any of the pubs at any time, but we advise an early start if you want to visit them all. The event runs from 11am to 9pm and buses will pick you up outside the pub, and run every 45ish minutes.
What a fantastic idea by Real Ale Trails. Cheers!
