Boro is a Japanese repair technique with hand stitching and scraps of fabrics to make the piece more meaningful and special. At the workshop, participants will use Emi’s antique/vintage scraps of fabric from her slow fashion garments for making a design and then stitch them using Japanese sashiko techniques with Emi’s botanical dyed yarns. Most of Emi’s scrap fabrics are plain white linen and cotton. Participants are welcome to bring their own favourite fabrics or items.
