Cecil Beaton, Celebrating Celebrity Exhibition @ Blenheim Palace – 17th May to 1st August

We are hosting a range of iconic photographs by British fashion and portrait photographer, Cecil Beaton.

Beaton, best known for his elegant photographs of high society, was a familiar guest the Palace, attending parties and weekend breaks alongside a host of aristocrats, artists and writers.

The images and feature huge 20th century figures from Picasso and Salvador Dali to Marilyn Monroe, Mick Jagger and members of the Royal Family; including the Queen, Princess Margaret and Prince Charles.

In total, the exhibition features more than 50 stunning images and profiles spanning six decades from the Roaring Twenties to the Seventies.

In partnership with Hermitage Foundation UK.

However, following the announcement of the Government Roadmap and consultation with our artists, we have taken the decision to postpone to June 2022.

A riot of colour, fragrance and weird and wonderful plants, the 20,000 square foot Grand Floral Pavilion forms the centrepiece of the Show and features the UK’s finest nurseries and growers giving expert advice and gardening ideas.

Visitors can enjoy Garden Talks with experts and enthusiasts, fabulous food and drink as well as more than 300 exhibitors, an outdoor Plant Village and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

New for 2021 is Floral Street, the perfect place to discover your favourite plants, flowers and an array of gardening goodies from unique garden gazebos, greenhouses and arbours to beautiful flowers, gardening sundries and hundreds of other products.

The UK’s largest and fastest growing festival devoted to dogs and their owners is bringing its unique brand of family-friendly canine fun and games is coming to Blenheim Palace.

Packed with everything dog-related, Paws at the Palace includes arena displays, dog training experts, have-a-go activities, breed clubs and loads of fun competitions where visitors’ dogs can win a rosette.

There will also be a huge range of products on offer and dog-brands represented, with around 150 exhibitors selling everything from leads, pet food and treats, diet & health advice, toys, health supplements, coats, grooming products, photography and much more.

The full 2 hour orchestral concert from The New English Concert Orchestra, led by Douglas Coombes MBE and compered by much-loved BBC presenter Pam Rhodes, will include a host of well-known uplifting classical pieces.

The extensive programme of entertainments also includes a toe-tapping warm-up act, thrilling historic cavalry displays, a meticulously choreographed aerial display from a WWII Spitfire, The Red Devils parachute display team (tbc), live firing cannons and, of course, spectacular fireworks.

The Battle Proms is still believed to be the only opportunity in the world to see the signature piece – Beethoven’s ‘Battle Symphony’ – performed as he composed it: with 193 live Napoleonic cannons providing a thunderous percussion!

With well over 400 classic American vehicles attending, including some of the finest examples to be found anywhere in Europe, dating from the early years of 20th century motoring through to the present day, the Rally of the Giants is the must visit event for anyone with an interest and passion for American cars and trucks.

Visitors from all over the UK and many parts of continental Europe gather to celebrate in a laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere and have a really great time.

This gastronomic festival will showcase the very best of produce from local and national stallholders offering high quality, tempting food choices from indulgent sweet treats to the most delicious organic fruit and veg, glorious bakes to the tastiest street food.

The Festival Kitchen and Marquee has a full programme of Demonstrations, Q&A’s, Workshops and Book Signings. The exciting line-up in 2021 includes BBC Masterchef Champions Kenny Tutt and Thomas Frake. Great British Bake-Off contestant Karen Wright and Eva Humphries, Wholefood Warrior alongside many other Celebrity Chefs, industry Food & Drink Experts and Chefs from some of the very best local restaurants.

Family friendly activities and entertainment will be available throughout the festival, with plenty of space to let the children run wild and explore. The stunning parkland makes the perfect place to enjoy a picnic of food and drink from the festival.

We welcome competitors and spectators every year to the stunning surroundings of Blenheim Palace to take part in one of the most spectacular triathlons in Europe, set against the backdrop of a World Heritage Site.

Run for fun or support your chosen charity with our 7km run.

The 1-mile Junior race, open to under 15s, starts before the main 7k and makes the event a great family day out. Race entry entitles you to entry to the palace grounds, enjoy the surrounding Parkland after the race.

The 7k course is suitable for all ages and abilities. It offers a challenging run for the more experienced, and beautiful surroundings for the beginner or anyone who wants to take a more leisurely pace. The wheelchair and buggy event will differ slightly and take place over a 4-mile course following the trails around the grounds of Blenheim Palace.

All competitors will receive a medal, as well as prizes for the winners, and trophies for the fastest teams. Enter the name of your team, and the top 4 times will be calculated. The schools challenge trophy will be awarded in the same way.
