Get organised by adding Woodstock’s newest event to your Christmas calendar, on Friday 23 and Saturday 24 November, taking place in St Mary Magdalene Church. The Woodstock Festive Fayre – is totally new and being organised by Wake up to Woodstock (WUTW), the association set-up to attract more visitors to the town. Families and visitors are also invited to a Night of a Thousand Candles later on Saturday, to see Woodstock’s new Christmas light illuminations in the town square.
Following a short two-hour preview on Friday evening, doors open at 9.30am on Saturday until 7pm. The Woodstock Festive Fayre will give visitors the chance to browse and buy from over 30 stalls selling fabulous things, such as festive decorations, scented gifts and jewellery, prints and cards, clothing, home and design items and much, much more!
WUTW Chairman Dennis Allen says: “We were very pleased to be asked by the Church to take this on and decided to call it the Woodstock Festive Fayre, to reflect the traditional and artisanal nature of what’s on offer. We look forward to welcoming as many people to the town that day as possible!”
In previous years, the Night of a Thousand Candles has seen live music on stage, celebrity guest appearances, carol singers and festive food and drink for all the family. So, if it’s not already, make sure Woodstock’s on ‘your’ list of places-to-go this Christmas! Keep up-to-date with what’s happening all year round at WUTW.co.uk.
