“The speaker, Peter Williams, served for six years in Berlin in the Cold War, including four years involved in patrolling in East Germany as a member of BRIXMIS, the British military liaison mission to the Soviet Army.  At the time very few people knew about the Mission’s intelligence collection operations, but it is now possible to describe many of its highly successful activities.

Incorporating Allied and Stasi (secret police) images, this talk casts a new light on this little known chapter of the Cold War.”
