Enter the magical world of Alice in Wonderland as part of an enchanting new daytime experience at Blenheim Palace this Christmas (22 November 2019 – 5 January 2020).
Step between the pages of a larger-than-life storybook and into your very own festive family adventure as you venture through the looking glass.
Wander down the rabbit-hole corridor, through the Hall of Mirrors, along the Hall of Doors and into the Palace’s historic rooms, sometimes grand, sometimes dainty, but always filled with hidden surprises and familiar faces.
Magical sights and sounds conjure up a crazy assortment of curious characters; the White Rabbit is in his sitting room – he mustn’t be late, you know.
The Caterpillar’s garden home is filled with flowers, foliage and, of course, a rather massive mushroom.
The Cheshire Cat might leave you with a grin, whilst the room filled with crystal drops and shimmering light must be home to the Pool of Tears.
Nothing is quite as it first appears; sometimes things are much bigger than they should be, and sometimes much smaller.
Perhaps you’re a little person in a huge place, maybe you’re a tall person in a tiny space – or could it all just be an illusion?
There’s no mistaking the royally eccentric Queen of Hearts and her giant jam tarts, surrounded by pink flamingos, rambling roses and hedgehogs.
The Palace’s famous Long Library, now bedecked with sparkling giant peacocks, is the perfectly scrumptious setting for a truly fantastic Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
Don’t forget to visit The Stables to rummage through the Wonderland-themed dressing up box where you can become the White Rabbit, Queen, Knave or even Alice herself.
